About maryam

Maryam is a British soprano and member of the Royal College of Music's Opera Studio, studying with Mary Nelson. She enjoys exploring song repertoire and was a 'Rising Star' artist at both the Shipston Song Festival and Edinburgh International Festival in 2025. Her operatic roles whilst at the RCM include Marchioness Violante Onesti (Sandrina) in Mozart's La Finta Giardiniera, the Fox in Janáček's The Cunning Little Vixen, and the Angel in Jonathan Dove's Seven Angels. She is a Josephine Baker Trust artist, a 2026 International Opera Awards bursary recipient, and a 2026 Alvarez Emerging Artist with Garsington Opera.
